Bringing companies back to life
An online service that helped owners restore companies that had been struck off the register, from first enquiry to final filing.
The client
A company-formation agent.
The challenge
When a company is struck off, its bank account is frozen and its assets pass to the Crown. Owners often find out late and don't know what to do, and each way of restoring a company has its own forms, deadlines and fees. Our client wanted to offer restoration as a clear, fixed-price service.
What we built
- Plain-English guidance: why companies are struck off, who can apply, which route fits and how long it takes
- An online start form that sends each case straight into the back office
- Separate routes for administrative restoration, fast-track restoration and recovering assets from the Crown
- A case workflow for staff, tracking each restoration to completion, with clear published prices
Technical details
A dedicated order type in the client's back office, with its own screens, pricing and a viewer that turns online submissions into orders.
