What we do

We design, build and look after software that fits the way your business works, and we stay around to keep it working.

Bespoke business systems

Back offices, CRMs, case management, billing, stock control and membership systems, on desktop, web or both. Designed around how your team actually works.

  • Line-of-business web applications
  • Desktop applications where they make sense
  • Customer and supplier portals
  • Reporting, dashboards and exports

Integrations & automation

We link the systems you already use so data moves without retyping: marketplaces, payment providers, accounting packages, couriers, government services and hardware.

  • Amazon, eBay, Shopify, TikTok Shop, Linnworks
  • Stripe, PayPal, GoCardless, Klarna, Adyen
  • Xero, KashFlow, HMRC Gift Aid, Companies House
  • Royal Mail, school management systems, smart meters

Rescuing & modernising legacy software

Your business may depend on something written years ago, perhaps in an old version of Visual Basic or Access, and the original developer may be long gone. We take over existing code, stabilise it, and move it onto modern technology in stages, checking at each step that nothing changes for your users.

  • Taking over code written by someone else
  • Access databases moved to the web
  • VB.NET to C#, and older .NET to the latest version
  • Automated checks that behaviour stays the same

Long-term support

Most of our clients have been with us for years. We don't hand over and disappear.

  • Ongoing maintenance and small changes
  • Help when rules, suppliers or the services you connect to change
  • Hosting and deployment advice
  • A developer who already knows your system

AI, used sensibly

From AI-assisted report writing for schools to automated document analysis, we build AI features with accuracy, cost and data protection in mind.

  • AI-assisted drafting and review
  • Document and data extraction
  • Cost controls and human review built in
  • Careful handling of personal data

How we work

  1. Understand

We work the way that suits you. If you already know what you need, we'll work from your specification. If not, we'll sit with the people who'll use the system and watch how they work: where the time goes, what gets typed twice, what they work around. Either way, we only suggest work that will pay for itself, and often the answer is smaller than you expect.

  2. Build in stages

We deliver working pieces early, so you can see progress, try things with real users, and change direction without throwing work away.

  3. Look after it

Once it's live, we keep it running and keep improving it as your business, suppliers and regulations change. Many of our clients have been with us for over a decade.

Our technology

We build on Microsoft .NET (C#), hosted on Azure, on your own servers, or wherever suits you. On everything we build now, we write automated tests and documentation as we go, so it can outlive any one developer.

Every project is bespoke, so our process is too. We choose the automatic checks that pay for themselves on each project, from requirements reviews to accessibility scans and AI code review, so fewer mistakes reach a developer and you pay for less of their time. See how we catch mistakes before a person has to.

Common questions

Can you take over software someone else wrote?

Yes. Some of our longest-running work started that way. We get to know the existing system, keep it running, and then improve it step by step, without asking you to start again.

Our system is old. Does it need replacing?

Not usually all at once. Older systems often contain years of hard-won business rules. We can move them onto modern technology in stages, checking at each step that nothing changes for the people who use them.

Do you only work with large companies?

No. Our clients range from small charities and community organisations to retailers sending out thousands of parcels a day. What they have in common is a process that off-the-shelf software doesn't fit.

Can you connect to the systems we already use?

Almost certainly. We've worked with marketplaces, payment providers, accounting packages, couriers, government services, school management systems and even smart meters. If it has a way in, we can usually connect to it.

How does a project start?

With a conversation about your business and what's not working. If bespoke software is the right answer, we'll suggest a small first stage, so you see something useful quickly. If it isn't, we'll tell you.

Where are you based?

In Manchester. We work with clients remotely or in person, whichever suits.

Tell us what's slowing your business down.

We'll tell you honestly whether bespoke software is the answer.
